About: Kiprotich Joshua is a dedicated and experienced pharmacist with a strong background in pharmaceutical services, research, and education. He has made significant contributions to healthcare in Uganda, particularly through his work at Kayunga Regional Referral Hospital, where he played a key role in operationalizing the private wing pharmacy. His experience spans various pharmacy units, including OPD, IPD, ART, ANC, and TB units. Joshua has developed expertise in inventory control, medicines reconciliation, and prescription audits, among other essential pharmaceutical services. His commitment to optimizing healthcare is reflected in the systems he developed to track drug expirations and ensure patient safety. In addition to his work at Kayunga, Joshua is actively involved in research. He recently co-authored a published study titled, "Safety and Efficacy of Jenacid® Herbal Product Against Indomethacin-Induced Ulcers in Albino Wistar Rats," which appears in the Cureus journal. His research interests include drug safety, pharmacovigilance, and clinical trials. Currently, Joshua is also in pharmacy education as a tutor at Kampala School of Paramedicals, where he shares his knowledge and experience with the next generation of healthcare professionals.
